How Blessings of Life Ministry Was Created

In my hospital pastoral care visits, I realized while many people are not active in communities of faith, most are still deeply spiritual. They often prefer a minister to officiate at: baptisms, weddings and funerals.

A longtime friend who is an Episcopal priest suggested I start a “free-range” ministry. And so, I wondered what it might look like to provide for: clergy – a supply preacher, Bible/Christian Education teacher; companies & groups – a retreat leader; couples – a wedding officiant; families – an officiant for a funeral or “Celebration of Life.”
